My wrist (Mijn pols)

Today I had to go back to the hospital to make some new xrays of my wrist and elbow. Everything is set quite nice and the doctor was pleased. I must say, I hear a lot of complaints about the healthcare, but my experience doesn’t support that. The doctor, the nurses and the other people that have treated me were all so nice and patient. The staff at the CWZ in Nijmegen are doing a good job if you ask me. Maybe I’ve been easy for them, so thats a tip if you ever have to stay at a hospital. But I am very pleased.

And for recovery, it will take months ’till my elbow will be fully functional again.

Vandaag moest ik terug naar het ziekenhuis voor de röntgenfotos van mijn pols en elleboog. Alles staat er keurig bij en de chirurg die mij geholpen heeft was tevreden. Ik moet zeggen dat ondanks alle verhalen met klachten over de gezondheidszorg mijn ervaring zeer positief is. The chirurg, verplegers en ander personeel dat zich met mij heeft beziggehouden zijn erg aardig en nemen de tijd voor je. Het team van het CWZ is good bezig als je het mij vraagt. Misschien ben ik ook een makkelijke patiënt, dus dat kun je als tip meenemen als je in het ziekenhuis belandt. En wat betreft mijn herstel, het elleboog gedeelte kan nog maanden duren.
